Claudia Comte
Claudia Comte’s visual language, based on the rethinking of space through paintings and installations that reconfigure its proportions and size, translates here into a large wall painting extending across the back wall of the exhibition space (Where Currents Meet, 2025). The geometric nature of the shapes and wavy lines, together with the two-tone understatement of black and white, freely recalls a natural landscape. The multiple perspectives converge towards a focal point that deceives spatial perception, forcing the viewer to find a different placement of the individual and collective gaze and body, in search of a possible unity. In her usual balance between analytical rigor and playful approach, between handicraft and digital production, the artist opens up not only imaginary passages, which connect the composite spaces created by man with the equally diversified ones of nature.
