The series of portraits by Tobias Spichtig on display here illustrates a community of fluid, hybrid and unconventional characters, who dwell in the exhibition space and define a new sense of coexistence. Boundaries and distances come loose, giving significance to the uniqueness of creatures that multiply the gazes within a place of sharing where diverse identities intertwine. Painting becomes a direct and intuitive language, in which the sharp contours of the figures envelop the observer in a visual atmosphere that moves between the polarities of identification and alienation.
