Valentin Noujaïm’s movie Pacific Club (2023), the first part of a trilogy about the Parisian financial district of La Défense, a true silent character in the story, outlines the history of the nightclub of the same name, a well-known hangout since the late 1970s for descendants of the Arab diaspora from the suburbs of the French capital.
